"Horse Sculpture"

When Tony was studying animal anatomy he would go to the horse stables on his way home from the animation studio. He had a sculpting stand, his tools and 100 pounds of clay stored in a small room that the owners let him use. Tony would bring out thoroughbreds, quarter horses and colts and sculpt them then reuse the clay over and over until his work improved. After doing this for months on end Tony became very familiar with the anatomy and structure of horses. These beautiful animals continue to be one of his favorite subjects.
