Michael was born and raised in the Midwest in a small farming community. Excelling in art in high school, he continued his education at a local college, majoring in architecture and landscape design with a minor in art.
His interest in dinosaurs goes back to the early years of grade school, partially due to his seeing the classic movie "King Kong." Even at an early age, Michael would visit the local library and read as much as he could about dinosaurs.
Michael has been an avid model builder and miniaturist since the age of 10, and won his first modeling contest at 13. By the time he was 16, he had several modeling awards to his credit, and an article written about him in the local newspaper. His attention to detail is truly incredible, making all of his work literally come to life. Michael's extraordinarily realistic artwork has appeared in several periodicals throughout the last few years, including the covers of the "Prehistoric Times" magazine, issues #24 and #41. Michael's miniature dioramas will take you a step farther into the world of the dinosaur.
